MR MASSEY TALKS TO GRAMOPHONE.

He emphasised the priceless heritage of our race, "which it was for us to preserve untarnished and to hand to succeeding generations inviolate, and greater and grander." Naval offence, he said, was of vital importance i>o the Empire, which was built on and erasted by sea'power There was no roy.a. road to prosperity which must be gained by industry and hard work on the p_rt of everyone. By this means the Empire would fulfil its mission, and spread justice, knowledge and peace in t!u W.irk corners of the earth.
