Only seven of the sixteen acceptors tor the Electric Hack Handicap were saddled up. Backers went for Foolish, who won at .MastertoiU'.and Rena Mavis, winner of the. Trial Plate earlier

in the day. Axle played up at the post as usual, but the starter managed to get him away with the field. Foolish at once took charge, and had a useful break on the field at half way. She won in attractive style from Rene Mavis, with Solrino and Blackhead together' next. Foolish has won in her last, three starts, and is particularly smart over five furlongs. Mr. W. R. Kemball started seven horses during the .afternoon, and--Foolish was his only winner.
