SHIPPING MISHAPS

SYDNEY, 11th October. Two shipping mishaps are reported by wireless messages. The steamer Montoro is ashore on Young Beef, off Thursday Island, but is expected shortly to be refloated. The schooner Alcairo is ashore near Marion Bay, South Australia. No details are to hand of the latter, except that the crew is safe.
