SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS.
Dull, misty weather has been experienced, with heavy rain in many parts of the North Island and the nortu-east districts oi' the South. A disturbance has passed in tha North, but another apparently located to tha westward has neutralised the effects of the former, and conditions have moderated since last night In many parts. The winds hava been variable, with strong easterlies predominating. ■ ■ ■. .
