National Provident and Friendly Societies' department, who has been transferred to the audit department, was the recipient of a token of esteem from his fellow-officer 6. The presentation (a solid leather suit case) was made by the chief clerk (Mr. G. S. Nicoll). who re! ferred in eulogistic terms to the-'many .sterling Qualities of the departing officer.
