A GOOD HEALTH WEEK
Health Week is over. The promoters, and those who have , worked m. the organising and execution of the plans, deserve not only congratulation on" the success of their efforts, but thanks for the great service they have done to the community. The mechanical clean-up, though important, was completely overshadowed by the educative influences brought to bear upon the public, by lectures and demonstrations, published reports and expositions of health doctrines, and even by wireless broadcasting. In this respect a remarkably wide range of subjects was dealt with, and a number of important questions received such attention as is likely to result' in action. In the gross, this was a great contribution to public enlightenment upon a subject of which public knowledge cannot be made too complete. Well-wishers of the Health Week movement must feel quite satisfied, in view of the imposing scale of this second venture, that it has come to stay. The people must, however, realise that the virtue of Health Week is small if its results are not felt and its lessons
applied coritinuously. The annual effort which is to be anticipated is not the whole movement; it is properly to be regarded as the means for driving common-sense principles into those who are not convinced by once showing, and . for periodically increasing the fund of public knowledge.
