TO BE PROMOTED IN MASTER-

(BY TEIEOKAPH.—SPECIAL TO THE POST.) MASTERTON, This Day. At a very successful meeting of citizens held last night in connection with the establishing of woollen mills in Masterton, after the proposal had been fully discussed and several questions answered, the Mayor (Mr. A. N. C. Pragnell) moved the following motion : "That this public meeting of citizens of Masterton has every confidence in the flotation of a woollen mill company in Masterton, and wishes to convey to the provisional directors that they may proceed with every confidence in the proposition as submitted to the meeting, and, further, that share applications commence as soon as possible." Mr. L. B. Maunsell seconded, and the motion was unanimously carried. The following were elected provisional directors : Messrs. F. Peterson, J. L. Murray, L. B. Maunsell, S. R. Gawith, T. F. Watson, G. W. Morice, P. Cotter, and A. S. Rigg, with power to add.
