DECLINE IN ITALIAN LIRA.

'The quotation for'the mark to the £1 sterling on the 2nd August was 5,250,000; on 20th September, 775,000,000; on 24th September, 750 to 650 millions to the £1; on 27th September, 050 to 750 millions to the £1; on Ist October, 1300 millions to the £1. The rate of the £ sterling in New York on the 9th April was 4.665 dollars; on 7th May, 4.62f dollars; on 7th June, 4.621 dollars; on sth July, 4.56J dollars; on 2nd August, 4.564 dollars; on 7th August, 4.56J dollars; on 9th August, 4.57 dollars; on 10th August, 4.6« dollars; on 20th August, 4.55J dollars; on 23rd August, 4.55} dollars; on 30th August, 4.65} dollars; on Oth September, 4.51} dollars; on 10th September, 4.63 dollars; on "13th September, 4.54} dollars; on 17th September, 4.54} dollars; on-20th September, 4.54J dollars; on 24th September, 4.5CJ. dollars. ;
