SALAMANCA CLUB.
The annual meeting of'the Salamanca Municipal Tennis Club was held last week, the Rev. S. Robertson Orr.presiding. Officers- for' the ensuing year were elected.'as •follaw:—President,, the "cv- »v R- Orr; vice-president, Mr. C. \•. ".; M.PheeV;. commmittee, Misses' D. Morrison and J. Shearer,'- Messrs i Graves Jarvis, and M'Farlahe; club captain Mr. A. ,W. r Mouat; treasurer, Mr. J. Pearson; secretary, Mr. G. \Tardine. beveral new members were elected. The courts are now closed for a month while in course of renovation. - It is proposed thaVplay shall be north and south "instead of east and west as, has been the case hitherto. The new season's play will commence early in November
