HOMING PIGEON CLUB

The members of the Lower Hutt Homing Pigeon Club held their fourth race for oM birds on Saturday from To Kuiti to Lower Hutt. The results were as follow:—Messrs. Knight and Judd's " No. 793" (velocity 1287 yards per minute), 1; W. Donnelly's "Inspiration " (velocity 1257 yards per minute). 2, Messrs. Sundgren and Silva's, "Marvellous " (velocity 1240 yards per minute), 3. Several birds were lost during the race.

Knowledge of coming weather ■ changes shown by birds is attributed to atmospnerio pressure ou their nerves. :.
