EXECUTIVE MEETING.
ofT«, 6 "^n^ y meetin? °l the executive of the Wellington branch of the Navy League was held yesterday afternoon. Captain Chudley, was"'in the chair,, and t^ere were also present: Mrs. Darling Miss Edwin, and Messrs. Hopknl; Walker, Finch, and Darroch. The ladies' auxiliary reported on the arrangements to be made in connection with the forthcoming Navy League dance. ■ ° .
March was decided upon as the month for the ending of the financial year, and the payment of subscriptions to the league.
Messrs..J.B. Hopkirk, C. E. Finch. A. Walker, and A. H. Hollig were apl pointed examiners for the Palmer prize essays. Prize-winners are to be announced by the 21afc October. Entries in the various classes were:—Senior, girls, 18 ; junior, girls, 19; senior, boys, 55, and junior, boys, 22.
It was decided to present a flag to the Masterton High School.
