After the fight, during which the loser was knocked down and his head struck the floor heavily, Macfarlane was sent to the hospital. His condition is 3omewhats«rious.

MELBOURNE, 29th September. Semmens and Gordon put up a good even battb of ten rounds, when Semmens began to pile on points and wore down Gordon, the referee stopping the fight in the fourteenth round to save the loser further punishment.
