Very satisfactory progress is being made with the preliminary work in connection with the Ncaio subway; the 350 ft culvert is now completed and levelling off has commenced, but a hitch has occurred, or at least has threatened to occur, in the building of a temporary bridging to support the railway lines while the City Council's men build the subway proper.
