STABBED IN A TRAIN
AN INDIAN MURDER.

DELHI, 23rd September. William Magill Kennedy was found dead in a train at Kiul, l£2 miles from Calcutta, with a wound in his body, apparently caused by stabbing. Kennedy retired from the Indian Army m 1920, but subsequently returned to India as travelling superintendent of a labour association in the tea districts. It is stated that the train in which he was travelling was held up owing to the cutting, of the signal wires, it is surmised that the crime was committed by thieves, but it is not known whether Kennedy's belongings are missing. • ,
