A delightful picture, in which 'romance, dancing, and thestrains.of jazz musio pervade the atmosphere, is "Prodigal Daughters," the star attraction at the King's Theatre this week. The plot of the story deals'with a very present question-in modern life in regard to the methods of amusement adopted by the young women'of the period/ It is a daring story of a girl'who exhausted every thrill with which the age of jazz is capable of submitting enticement to the unthinking. Night life in New York, with all its allure and fascination for the young of both sexes, and th^re are many dramatic episodes which change the heroine's life as the story proceeds. Beautiful Gloria Swanson'is in the title role, and wears a marvellous wardrobe suited to the scenes she passes through. The programme is supported by an amusing comedy starring the dog Brownie. The King's Orchestra plays a choice selection of musical items. • ' .
