The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 22nd September, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— BUTTER. Market very firm. Prices have advanced, and tendency is upward. Other qualities: 22nd, September, ealted, 186s, ISOs per cwt (Is 7Jd, Is Bid per lb). Australian : —Salted, finest: 22nd September, 182s, 186s per cwt (Is 7;£d, le 7|d per lb), ITnsalted: 22nd September, 184s, 190s per cwt (Is 7sd, Is &^d per lb). Other qualities, salted and unsalted: 22nd September, 1525, ■ 178s-per cwt (Is 4id, ls.7d per lb. ,T Argentine.—Finest: 22nd September, 1765,' 180s per cwt (Is 6Jd,' Is' 7£d per lb); exceptional, 186s per cwt (Is 7Jd per lb). Port Auckland. ■. ■. • 1 HEMP. .'■'.'■■ Manila.—Market quiet and tendency easier. "G" grade, October-December shipments, quoted at £35 per ton; "J" grade, £31, sellers. There is a continued inquiry for New Zealand fair grade, and business: : is reported i n September-Octo-ber shipments at £30. Common grade »pot is offered at £29, and rejected at £28, but nothing doing. EGGS.
