COMBINED BANKS AT PLAY.
Two interesting Rucby matches were played at the Athletic Park to-day between district teams representing combined banks. The play was watched by. a fair gathering of members oE the banking staffs. '■'■..
The' Wellington A team defeated Christen ui-ch by 14 points to 11. For Wellingtcu tries were scored by W. Turvey and O'Caliaghan (2), while Cowley converted one try and Preston secured a goal. Brown kicked two penalty goals for Christchurch, and scored a try, which he converted.
Ths Wellington B fifteen, defeated Palmei-Eton North -by 11 points to 8. For the. winners Mac Gibbon, Turvey, ajid Parson scored a, try each, Parson converting one. For the visitors Rose converted Vtrv by Xittlejohn, and also kicked a penalty goal.
