ROYAL CHORAL UNION.
The committee of the Choral Union announces its. programme for the remainder of the 1923 season as followsElgar's "King Olaf," on- 24th November, and Handel's "The Messiah" on 15th December. For the latter performance the society will be assisted by the Hawera, Stratford, and New Plymouth Choral Societies, and have arranged by cable for the reappearance of Mr. Len. Barnes (baritone), who is at present appearing on the concert platform in England. They have also been able to secure Miss Ethel' Osborn (Brisbane) for the soprano. solos. There are vacancies in .the choir for performing members especially altos and basses. Practices commence to-morrow evening, and the society's musical director, Mr. H. Temple White, will be in attendance at St John's Schoolroom at 7.20 to meet intending members.
