Tho Finance Minister has issued a statement showing France's rapid financial and economic recovery. In 1919 the area cultivated was 603,000 hectares. This year the figure is 5,526,000. In 1920 France had an trade balance of 2510 million francs. Last year thero was a deficit of 33C0 millions. Unemployed, in 192r"numbered 63,962; now there are 1575, whereof only 130 are in Paris.
