"WHAT IS MUSSOLINI?"

DOESN'T KNOW HIMSELF.

(Received 24th September, noon.) ROME, 25rd September. The Tunn newspaper "Piedmonte" originated a competition inviting its readers to submit definitions ci Signor Muagolini. The latter instructed the prefect to call on the editor, and tell him to call off the referendum, and publish the following statement: "As Signor Mussolini declares that he' himself does not know what he is, it would be most difficult for anyone else to know."
