UNSTINTED TRIBUTES

LATE SIR WALTER DAVIDCON

BODY LYING IN STATE.

(ONITBB PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.)

SYDNEY, 17th September. The late Sir Walter Davidson will be given a State funeral to-morrow. Without exception, the newspapers and the leaders of all parties pay unstinted tributes to the late Governor for his work in private and in public life. His last official public appearance was in connection with the Pan-Pacific Science Congress. His programme, for to-morrow would have included the opening of a home of peace for the dying. The body lies in state in the Cathedral till tomorrow.
