MARINE DEPARTMENT SECRETARY

Applications axe.now being invited for the position of Secretary of the -Marine Department. It will be recalled that during discussion on the Estimates in the Houbs of Representatives a great deal of criticism was levelled at the Government for appointing Mr. A. D. Park to the position of head of the Marine Department. A "Post" reporter was informed this afternoon that Mr. Park was not' the permanent head of the Department, and was only Acting-Secretary. It was now pfjposed to appoint a. permanent Secretary, and that was the reason why applications were being called.
