WELLINGTON v. WAIRARAPA.
The Wellington junior representative team took an ample. revenge for their beating by Wairarapa on tonr by soundly drubbing the couutry'teani at Athletic Park by 17 points to nil on Saturday, Ihe game was played on a soft wetground as a curtain-raiser to the Pe-tone-Poneke match. It was a poor exhibition of .Rugby. Wairarapa'B efforts were frustrated by inexperience, the backs cutting in inopportunely, and the forwards kicking too'hard. The local team were disappointing. Wairarapa.—Full-back, \N. Hood; three-quarters, W. Williams, R. Biddl-, and C. Merewood; five-eighths, S. Clapham and L. Neighbours (captain);' halfback, C. Wyeth; forwards, G. Forman, H. Harris, S. Burt, P. Haigh, W. Hood. R. Lister, .E. Donald, and —. Zillwood. Wellington.—Full-back, Sidet; threequarters, Bailey, Bentley, and Thompson; five-eighths, Morgan (captain) and .Munro; half-back,- Scadden; forwards, Myers, Walsh, Peterson, Desmond, Hall, Carter, Watts, and/Allen. Wairarapa were defending, throughout the first spell, which finished with the score: Wellington 9, Wairarapa 0. The scores for Wellington came through a fine penalty goal kicked by Myers and two tries, one by Thompson and one by Hall. Myers failed with the kicks. ■ In the second spell Wellington continued to press and added to their score. Halley and Morgan each scored a try and Myers converted one, making the final: Wellington 17, Wairarapa 0. Mr. H. E. Brown was referee.'
