GOOD WEATHER EXPECTED
Over the week-end Wellington weather 'was on its'best behaviour.'-.Satur-day afternoon saw an .unexpected and very sudden ■ squall,; in 'which; hail fell, but a few minutes later the" s'uji was again shining. The southevly. storm' ceased to .operate on Saturday ...evening,:.',and since 'that time the weather has been in' most part* of the country.' .'Atmospheric pressure is now high everywhere, and moderate aud variable winds are forecasted with easterlies : northward of Hokitika and Lyttelton, and northerlies elsewhere.. Little movement in.the:barometer is anticipated; and fair to .cloudy weather is likely to continue.generally, unsettled at times in the northern and southernmost districts. A'very cold night ,is to be expected.' The "vijeords show' that' 74 ■ degrees of frost were recorded in Wellington last night.'"
