LONDON, Ist September. The opening of the London wool sales on Tuesday is awaited with keen interest, the general impression being that merinos and fine crossbreds Will show ' an advance iv value. There has been improved inquiry in Bradford duringHhe last fortnight, apparently due to this belief. A largo proportion of offerings will consist of wooln of a Continental type. Prices for them will, of course, depend mainly upon Continental coriipetation. Germany, Belgium, and France are expected to operate; but, so far as is known, American competition is likely to be limited.
