CRICKET
BOYS' INSTITUTE CLUB.
; The annual meeting of the Boys' Institute Cricket Club was held last evening, when the president (Mrs. W. A. Parton) was in the chair.
The annual report showed that the season had been the most successful in the history of the institute. Eighteen teams competed. In the Boys' Cricket League competition they had annexed the three principal championships, the junior A having been secured by the Institute for eight years in succession. It'was'anticipated that at least 23 teams would be taking part: in the competitions this season. It was hoped to obtain the Basin Reserve for practice, failing which the Prince of Wales Park would be applied for. . The election of officers resulted as follows :—Patron, Mr. G. A. Troup; president, Mrs. W. A. Parton; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. H. Amos, C. C Odlin L. T. Watkins, A. F. Roberts, J.- W. Butler, H. F. Hislop, F. A. Laws, F. A. Longuet, A. L. Hunt, R. A, Loughnan, R. "A. Nicol, and J. Ilott; club captain. Mr. C. S. Dempster; vice-cap-tain, Mr. M.. R. Bilby: management committee.-Messrs. W. S. Tyson. B. W. Caulton, H. Lucchesi, and C. Simpson; hon. secretary, Mr. A. M. Pinkerton.
