Proposed Research.—(») Investigation of the Causation of Goitre from a Biochemical standpoint, such as a close examination of the relationship of lodine in foods to the incidence of Goitre,. and if possible, to work out the metabolism of lodine, (b) The chemistry of substituents in the Thyroxin molecule, and the pharmacology of same, as a preliminary to working out more definitely the reason for the physiological action of Tyroxin. Place of Research: Balfour Laboratory, Cambridge. .
