ALL BLACKS SUSPENDED

DRASTIC ACTION BY WANGANUI UNION.

(BY TELEGRAPH.—PKESS ASSOCIATION.)

WANGANUI, 9th August. In consequence of the late withdrawal of Peina, Potaka, Hartley, and Kingi, four footballers belonging to the Eata Club, great difficulty was experienced in assembling the team which left to-day to fulfil engagements in the Auckland province. These players withdrew in order to play in the club final next Saturday. *A special meeting of the Wanganui Rugby Union to-night decided to suspend the Rangitikei SubUnion, and the players involved. It was also decided to notify the New Zealand Rugby Union that Potaka and Peina, who are in the provisional selected 20 for the'first Test match, have been suspended.

A further special meeting has been called for next week, when the Rangitikei Sub-Union officials will be asked to attend.
