William John Davidson, with the aliases of Robert Wallace, Albert Demi>sey, John Milson, and Bob Ryan, who was' arrested for false pretences in this district, appeared to-day. He was charged with false pretences in th» Frankton and Whangarei districts. Th» police explained that Davidson was an habitual criminal. He was released in February on license. . Accused pleaded guilty, .and was sentenced to six month*' imprisonment. The Magistrate said accused would in any case have to go back to prison, and was at the disposal of th« Prison Board.
