DR. THACKER ENTERTAINED IN ENGLAND.

Thicker, ex-Mayor of Chnstchurch, entertained by the Rugby League Council, advocated that prominent English players should periodically visit New Zealand, and play with and coach the New Zealand teams, returning to England for the openinc of the season. He also urged the adoption of a rule to allow substitutes for injured players. He claimed that the game is progressing to such an extent that the Dominion will be able in the next two or three years to send a purely New Zealand teaifc to England.
