BRITAIN AND THE RUHR
ITALY'S SUGGESTIONS.
LONDON, 6th August. A Eome message states that the reply to the British Note approves of the proposals, but considers that the suggestions made in Signor Mussolini's memorandum in December and elaborated by him at the Paris and London Conferences 'constitute a more promising basis for effecting a solution of the debts and reparations problems. Italy acepts the proposal for a commission of experts and condemns the German passive resistance in the Ruhr.
[Signer Mussolini's plan provided for reductions of the inter-Allied debts md offering means by which Germany would he able to pay reparations.] •
