V.M.C.A. CONCERT.

A concert by pupils of Madame Mueller was given at the Y-.M.C.A.- last n evening, before an appreciative audience. " As a curtain-raiser, a one-act cbmedv: ' a. rranl ed nby Miss Hardinge-Maltby, was staged. The cast comprised Misses Alba ■ Greening, Elica Collyns, Gwenneth Herron, Mrs. Sydney Tingey, and Mr. Alfredbpencer. The playlet was capably enacted, and afforded much: amusement. t" ™strumental quartette played "Orpheus as an overture,. and ' 'The Fifth ' Hungarian Dance."- Miss K.'Nikel-sang I Hear a Bird at Eve" ;Mr. Luff "The ' Devout Lover" ; Miss C. Wrigley, "Sine- " Joyous Bird" ; Misses C. and M. Sees' : Welsh duet, which was encored; Mr Ureernvood, "The Storm Fiend"; Mr. V Mewhmney, "Long Ago in Egypt" ; Miss U Harrison. "The Blue Bonnet." and as an encore item, "Priscilla"; Miss H Perry, A.T.C.L., "The Pearl Cross," and in response to a recall "They Say":Mesdames Mueller, Willis, Messrs. Hogarth' and Luff, the quartette, '!'Pro Fhundo Basso." Miss V. Mueller recited "The Musical Box." Mr. Vernon Oswm gave recitations from Hilaire Belloc and others. Mr. Y. .8. James'contributed a flute solo, "The Wind in the Woods. Mr. .Kohn was an efficient accompanist at the piano. A number of Madame Mueller's pupils were unable to appear owing to being laid up with influenza.
