GROUND CHARGES
OTAGO'S ATTITUDE IN REGARD' TO TEST MATCHES.

DUNEDIN, 6th August. The Otago Rugby Union Committee discussed .the question of ground charges at a meeting to-night, when it was. decided to charge- 25 per cent, of the gross takings for the Test match on the Carisbrook ground on 25th AugustIt was decided to notify the Southland, South Canterbury, and Canterbury Unions of the decision arrived at, and request that they insist on the samo charge.
A telegram was received from the New Zealand Rugby Union stating that it was. strongly of opinion that the Tests should not be played on grounds where the charges exceeded 20 per cent, of the gross takings.
