; . SYDNEY, 3rd August. The official estimate of the autumn and winter lambings in New South Wales shows that the total number of ewes was 18,334,000, of which 10,922,000 mated. The probable number of lambs marked was 4 ; 827,0O0, or 44 per cent. For the spring and summer lambings 3,554,000 ewes are (flpected to provide 2,244,000 lambs, or 63 per cent. " It in pointed out that tho earlier lambing seasons wore particularly unfortunate, owing chiefly to tho long-continued drought conditions. :
