_ -Never beiore have we fully truly realised the value of our children and our «uty towards them a? is manifest to-day -Ue State is making better, and yet better, provision for the health, educa, tion,-and care of children, and societies ol.devoted men and women are giving their tuna and money .towards making the ifo of our- children brighter and happier Among other bodies, the loung Citizens' League set out to inculoate the spirit of true , citizenship their duty towards their fellow-beings the city in which-they live, and love of country into every child. The league if also making an effort-to brighten the live, of children by wholesome entertamments and recreation. On Saturday evening next a free concert will be provided for friris in fh» STtoM" 1 itJ'-T^S the ha" vulbe-nlled to overflowing, ft is desired that next Sunday will te known as a Mother and Daughter's Pa v when special serv ices for them wHI te-held m churches, to which it is hoped avery mother and daughter who can possibly do sa will attend.
