Charged with the theft, as-a Government servant, of £47 10s 3d, Frederick Henderson Joyce, who was arrested yesterday by Detective Murray, was remanded until the Bth inst. An application by Mr. J. Scott on behalf of accused for bail was refused. Three, first offenders for drunkenness were dealt with by Mr. W. H. Coy, ■i.e., at the Mount Cook Police Court to-day. Each was convicted and discharged.
