Various excuses were made, and nothing definitely was done till the FOURTH Anniversary of the war, in August, 1918, when the leaders of the House of Commons walked in humble 6tate to Westminster Abbey, where earnest Bupplication was made to GOD for help, strength, and wisdom. From that moment Victory to Britain and her Allies became immediately apparent. Again, the same leaders of Christian thought in England, and those throughout the Empire, are urging us to seek DIVINE help and guidance to overcome the pressing difficulties of the international situation, and for wisdom to our statesmen, enabling them to find solution of the many problems in our State, civic, and social life at the present time.
