GISBORNJS, 3rd August. The Nordon Cup hockey match, Bay o£ Plenty (challengers) versus Poverty Bay (holders), resulted in a win for the home team by a goal, scored by Duncan, to nil. The weather was fine, but the ground was rather heavy after rain. The game was very fast, and there was little between the teams.
