PORT NICHOLSON BAND.

The announcemant that the Port Nicholson Band will give another recital in the Grand. Opera House to-morrow night will no doubt be welcomed by music-lovers. The Sunday, recitals have been a great pleasure to a, large number of people, and careful preparations have been made to maintain the band's reputation a£ this recital. Supporting professional artists include some of the most talented in Wellington, including Mrs. I. Glennie, a cultured soprano, who is to make her first appearance at a Sunday concert. She will sing "Dream Tryst." Mr. Vf. W. Marshall, basso, will sing "The Bandolero." Mr. James Osborne, tenor, will be heard to advantage in "Because." Another first appearance will be the well-known Harmonic Quartette, ii combination of talented singers, who have been undefeated for the past three years at the Wellington Competitions. Mr. Frank Crowther will act as accompanist. The band items have been carefully selected, and include a hymn, arranged by Mr. A. Mullinger, l/.R.A.M., of Palmerston North; overture, "De Bayou" ; selection, "Lortzing" ; march "Ravenswood." The full programme appears in this issue.
