In the course of the debate on tlia Hospitals Report in the House of Representatives yesterday, several members urged that the Health Department should make arrangements" ■ to secure supplies of insulin for the treatment of cases of diabetes.

The Minister of Health (the Hon. Sir Maui Pomare) stated that the Department had got all the supplies that it could obtain at present, but as soon ls more were available they would be procured. At the present time they had only sufficient to treat two cases at Dunedin, and the Australian Government had only sufficient to deal with "5 cases.

The" Hon.- D. Buddo (Kaiapoi): "Is there any prospect of getting more?" The Minister: '"Certainly. In; the next two months we ought to be alilo to .get enough to be able to, keep the four main centres going, at any fate."
