The monthly .sitting of the Lower Hutt Magistrate's Court was held yesterday before MivF. K. Hunt, S.M. Inomas Russell, charged with being drunk while in charge of a horse and cart, and also with driving after dark w-ithout^ lights, was fined on each charge 40s and costs. Cecilia Parkinson, for using indecent language, w ils convicted and ordered to como up for sentence when called upon For driving a motor.-lorry after dark without lights Martin Smith was fined $j\> and, (a costs.
Failure to attend military parade cost A. W. Carter 20s and.7s costs ' . For falling to keep his wages book in a proper manner, F. W. Donaldson was fined 40s and costs.
Exceeding the speed limit in a motorcar cost M. L. Shewan 20s and 9s costs.
