the House of Representatives met at 2.30 p.m. Mr. G. Witty asked whether facilities would be given to advancing trade with Chile. Mr. W. E. Parry asked whether the report of the Commission on" the Blind would be placed before the House this session. The Prime Minister said he thought the Commission had finished its labours. It would be "or Cabinet to say whether the report would he placed before tho House. In the absence of the Ministtr responsible, he could not give a delimta answer right away, howevor. Replying to Sir John Luke, the Prims Minister stated that applications for l°ans for dwellings will be considered by the State Advances Department in th'o order in.which they are received. Mr. G. W. Forbes asked whether the abolition of the income tax in regard to S? ers would ***«! effect this year. The Prime Minister replied in the affirmative, providing the Bill became law this session. . - (Left sitting.)
