STRAND THEATRE.

His Back Against the Wall," a new Goldwyn production, is being presented at the Strand Theatre. The picture stars Raymond Hatton, and is a delightful variation of the outworn Western strong man melodrama. Instead of a hero who can split a table with- a punch, we find a little tailor's helper, driven from his own "set" in the East, acclaimed a hero by his new Western companions. The second feature is "Squibs Wins the Calcutta Sweep," featuring the charming and popular English comedienne, Betty Balfour. The supports, which are of exceptional merit, include "Home-made Movies," Sennett comedy, and the latest Pathe Gazette, me programme is being repeated to-day.
