MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.
The Management Committee of the Wellington- League Football met in the league office, Lambtoa quay, last evening.' There were present: Messrs. C. H. Snow (in the chair); W. Anderson. \Y. "\Vhittington, D. Duncan, V. Aamodt, \V. Corcoran, G. Swan, E. Cunningham, F. Sage, and C. T. White (secretary): The secretary was instructed to write to the Newtown Club asking it to appoint a deputation to wait upon the centre with refei-ence to club matters under consideration.
A letter was' received from the Pctone Council regarding a deputation to that body. The secretary was instructed to write apologising for the non-appearance of the deputation on Monday evening, and stating that a deputation would attend the next meeting. After lengthy discussion on the question of selectors;. .Mr. Snow was appointerl sole selector for the senior team going South.
Mr. Wild, addressed the meeting on the mattei\ of a policy covering all accidents—on the field and off. He was heartily thanked for his remarks.
It was decided that the senior representative team to play Canterbury, should leave by Thursday night's boat, and the junior representatives by Friday night's boat. The centre nominated Mr. Shadbolt (Christchurch) to referee the senior game. A letter was received from South Auckland stating that 18th August was a suitable date for Wellington to play at South Auckland. It was decided to" accept the date, and to play at Auckland on the 22nd August. *The match lit South Auckland is for the Northern Union Challenge Cup. Mr. H. Aird was appointed manager of the junior team to travel to Christ-' church.
