LONDON, 18th July. Mr. Ronald JM'JTeill, replying in the House of Commons to Mr. Snowden, said there was no reason to doubt the accuracy of statements regarding the executions and persecutions of the Georgian people by the Bolshevik Government. Deeply as the British Government deplored the outrages, the Soviet hi>d unfortunately established effective control in Georgian tgrritoiy, and the Government was only too well aware of the uselessness of attempting i 0 influence the hoviet Government diplomatically without a n accompaniment of pressure, which they had no means of exercising.
