Curious anomalies continue in consequence of the United States liquor law.. Tha Cunard liner Albania arrived at Plymouth "bone dry," even the medical store being' exhausted. after three days. But the ship carried a cargo'of a hundred barrels of rye whisky for the English market. ■ .

The United States liner Leviathan left Southhnmpton officially dry. but the passengers took huge supplies for their own consumption. One was seen helping a porter to carry three cases of whisky on board.
