DEDICATING THE MURITAI
East Harbour children are being treated' this afternoon 'to an excursion round the harobur on the new ferry steamer, Muritai. Those-present include pupils from Croydpn Diocesan School and the Muritai -Public .: School. ; Each child present was given a.bag of sweets and a picture of the Miiritai;. including- a' email map showing the route of the vessel on hervovage out from Scotland. In addition, soft drinks, the Rift.of the Phoenix Aerated Water Company, and cakes were provided for the children, who are accompanied by their teachers and a few parents. ..During'the. excursion opportunity was taken' by the Rev O. M. Stent. Vicar of Eastbourne,: to dedicate the new steamer. For this purpose a. short religious service took place, .durine which suitable hymns were sune' and a dedicatory prayer offering up, followed by a short address.
