LONDON, 13th July. The report of the directorate' of civil aviation shows that, for the second consecutive year, no passenger was killed on any of the regular air services, which carried 11,460 passengers, twice as many as in the previous year. New devices adopted include a, sound-locating device, for telling the direction from which an aeroplane is approaching when it cannot be seen; a fog beacon, with an intense red flame, for penetrating mist; and an electric cable under the ground, for indicating the landing-track to an aeroplane which cannot see the landinsplace. °
