WELLINGTON WELCOME WEEK
BEGINS TO-MORROW.
Wellington Welcome Week begins tomorrow. The efforts of the Carnival and Advertising Association have been successful, first, in advertising Wellington during the last month; and, secondly m drawing many people to the city for the coming week. Proof of this is given by tho fact that many of the hotels are already fully booked, and there is a general expectation of a very full city. The efforts of the committee, however j it _is felt, helped to create a ' greater pride in our;city; and it is anticipated that this carnival will be tho forerunner of a winter and summer gala week =n Wellington. , It is the aim of the executive that the winter carnival shall be on such a scale as to embrace a winter show, motor show, industrial exhibition, and shopping displays, besides seasonable amusements.
