LONDON. sth July. The Governor-General of the Irish Free State, Mr. Timothy Healy, interviewed by the "Daily Express" on the eve of his return to Dublin, said: "The Free State is established'definitcly. Internal assaults have ended. Ireland today is as tranquil as Britain. The Irish feel that they have been treated in an absolutely straight manner by Britain since the Treaty. Our people in Australia, Canada, and elsewhere feel that the tree .State is definite. Consequently, the old anti-British feeling overseas lias vanished. The problem at present we are faced with is how to release, ten thousand interned Irishmen. We are anxious to end this sorrowful position immediately without exposing the public to a recurrence of disorder. The internees will.be released as'soon as safety permits.
